This week I alot of personal things come up so I couldn’t get as far as I would have like but the first parts of the rock tool are done.
I’ve made super hi res rocks just by using a few moutain nodes and two triplaner displace node. Before i start diling the look of the rocks I need to decimate these rocks and bake down there displacement maps. I want to create LODS for the rocks that need it.
After I create the hi and low polys I’m bring them into either substance painter or try to make some rock textures procedurally. Additionally I need to work on trying to get mountains in the background.

I’m also gonna put some rock ref here. I’m kinda working on a new Mood board due to maybe the last one feeling to much like Rider for example.
One last thing, I kinda redid all the base files and naming so the project has clear naming conventions and switched all ABC to USD files due to them using less storage. The animation for the dragon for example went from 3gb to 400mb. The USD idea was thanks to a good freind of mine storm slawson who helped on rider and plans to work on this as well.
