Riders production Update

Update 4/29/2024

Not a lot of major progress to show but i spent the last two weeks really refining shots and fixing any render issues we ran into.

A lot of environment work for 010_0120 which can all be transferred to 010_0130. Making 010_100 and 010_110 the last Seq 1 shots that need lighting and environment passes.

I just fixed the floor 020_030 and the lighting is final. 020_020, 020_0080 are almost done as well. I think more than half of Seq 2 will be done this week.

update 4/13/2024

I know its been awhile since the last update but here is what happened this week.

I on-boarded two new lighters, Donnie and Thomas. Who have made a huge impact this week.

This was the to do list:
Before Monday 15 April:

  • seq 3 all full CG shots ready to render
    • fully lit
      • ROPs done
      • fix ground UV tiling
  • seq 2
    • set dressing and lighting for one shot
  • seq 1
    • 010_0020 rerendered
      • 010_0020 confetti
      • 010_0090 ready to render

As of Sunday night I can say we have hit most of our goals. I wasn’t happen to re render anything this week due to 010-0090 being a mess to render.

But here is some major Progress updates

This is just a WIP of the Environment and a test pass at comp with Final lighting. This was only possible this week, thanks to Donnie who did a great job building up the shot from the work i did.

Here is some Previs I did over the Weekend. I saw I had a tank model, so maybe he was a WW2 soldier. I have the tank show up in the last shot. I need to figure out how to turn the turret so that the next shot can be the soldier blowing up.

Idea is a man who washed up on a beach. He badly needs water and sees a water bottle. He crawls towards it. as he crawls towards the bottle starts moving, revealing its a water bottle.
